Story of Imam Hussain | Why was Imam Hussain murdered?
Hazrat imam Hussain was born according to the Islamic calendar in Medina, Saudi Arabia on 3 Sha'ban, 4 Hijri (ie 8 January 626 AD) and his father's name was Hazrat Imam Ali ibn Talib Walida (mother) Hazrat. Why did Hazrat Imam Hussein leave Medina and go to Iraq i.e. Karbala?
After traveling the desert for about 22 days, the convoy of Imam Hussein (2 October 680 AD or 2 Muharram 61 Hijri) reached the place in Iraq which is called Karbala. All the soldiers of Imam Hussein had come behind the Imam in Karbala, as soon as the Imam's camp was put in, Yazid's forces started reaching thousands of numbers. Announced the removal of the camp and thus mentioned his nefarious intentions.
Five days later i.e. seven Muharram the banks of the canal were tightly guarded and the families of Imam Hussain and his companions were banned from taking water from the river. Two days later, the Yazidi armies suddenly attacked the Imam's convoy, as the water stopped in the scorching heat of the desert. Imam Hussein asked the Yazidi army for one night's time so that they could worship their Allah. And thirst will make their physical and mental condition even weaker.
Why do Muslims mourn in Muharram?
Throughout the night, Imam Hussain, his family members, and his companions kept praying to Allah, meanwhile, Imam Hussain asked to darken the night of 9 Muharram, and after that told everyone that all the praises are for God, I am not so brave loyal to anyone's companions in the world. I understand that no one in the world can find such relatives as my companions, as noble and faithful are my relatives, God will give you Taufiq Amen, be warned that tomorrow the enemy will definitely fight.
I happily allow you to go wherever your heart wants, I will never stop you. The Yazidi army is only thirsty for my blood, if they catch me they will not seek you. After this, Imam Hussain asked to extinguish all the lamps and said in this darkness, I can go wherever I want.
I have also taken away from you the vow that you took to be faithful to me. While talking about this incident, no one agreed to leave the Imam even after giving him every opportunity in Karbala. An old man Sahab like Zuhain ibn Qain says O Imam Hussain, if I don't lose my life, I will not leave you, all the Sahabis and their soldiers all stop and suddenly attack the tenth Muharram.

And in this battle, Imam Hussain sahib died, and at the same time, his Laskar and his grandson Ali Asghar also became right. Imam Hussain sahib cut his neck and told the whole world that Islam cannot bow down to anyone. Saved the glory of Islam by being right.
Yazidi said that I have to do what I say, that is why the war of Karbala (680 AD) happened.
