Telugu television actor Chandrakanth, widely recognized as Chandu, has reportedly died by suicide at his home in Alkapur, Telangana. The news of his passing on Friday has deeply saddened the Telugu television industry, especially following the recent tragic loss of his co-star and dear friend Pavithra Jayaram in a fatal road accident. According to a statement given to the police by Chandrakanth’s father, the actor had been battling depression in the days leading up to his untimely demise.

Going by the reports, Chandrakanth was discovered deceased at his home in Alkapur, Rangareddy District, Telangana, following the demise of his ‘Trinayani’ co-actor, Pavitra Jayaram, in a tragic accident. Reports also indicate that actor Chandrakanth was found hanging at the same residence in Alkapur where he and Pavitra Jayaram resided together. He was profoundly impacted by Pavitra’s untimely passing and was also involved in the accident that led to her demise.

On Sunday, May 12, in Hyderabad, Pavitra Jayaram tragically lost her life in a road accident when a bus collided with her car. Reports indicate that at the time of the accident, Pavitra was accompanied by her sister, Apeksha, the driver Srikant, and also Chandrakanth.

Chandrakanth, deeply affected by Pavithra’s passing, expressed his grief through heartfelt tributes dedicated to his ‘Trinayani’ co-star. His final Instagram post was a poignant homage to Pavithra, with rumors circulating about the two being in a relationship. One of his posts read, “Papa netho digina last pic raa. not able to digest to left me alone, okasari mama aniii piluveee plsss @pavithrajayaram_chandar. My Pavi is no more, pls ra come back, please. (Papa, this is the last picture we took together. I can’t bear being without you. Just call me ‘mama’ once please @pavithrajayaram_chandar. My beloved Pavi is gone, please come back).” His Instagram profile is brimming with memories captured with Pavithra Jayaram.

Chandrakanth gained fame for his role in the TV series Trinayani, while Pavithra was a renowned TV personality who had been previously married and had two children. Their tragic deaths have reignited conversations about mental health awareness.
